A House

A long awaited project of a new house has begun! Well, actually, it began a couple months ago and the plans even further back than that. We just haven't had time to add pictures or updates. This is a horrible time of year to work on a new house with the weather but the guys are pushing through the cold and rain and are making progress. The hope is for it to be done by Super Bowl. Only two more months to go!

This week trusses were set and they began sheeting the roof. Following that will be a deck over the daylight basement and setting windows. Below are pictures of the project starting with the most recent.

New Site

In the rush to finish up the new website and all the other projects happening with the business and in our personal lives, we forgot to post the new website address. So if anyone's interested in checking it out it's at www.markparadisconstruction.com.

Our plan is to continue to update this blog occassionally with new projects and to link the blog to the website. Stay tuned!

Update

We haven't been updating anything recently because we've finally decided that it's time for a "real" website. We'll probably keep this blog for interesting projects that come along. But for now it's on hold as we work on getting the website up and running. We've aimed for the beginning of June. So keep checking back for the link and the final reveal!

Finish Work

The summer has been extremely busy for the business. It's hard to remember to take many pictures and to post as often as we should when time is flying. The last pictures that we were able to take were of some wainscoting that was put up in a rec room. Mark and Moe framed the room inside of a barn last spring and were asked recently to finish it off with wainscoting.

Here is a huge driveway project that was recently completed. We don't have the finished project pictures yet but this is what it looked like as they worked.

A "Studio"

This is the latest project that Mark finished with the help of his friend Moe. It was called an art studio but it's really going to be mother-in-law quarters (or whatever it is that's called).
